Walking:
- I walked approximately 500 miles for exercise last year in addition to the rest of the exercise and fitness activities
I do throughout the year.
- These walks include events up to 20 miles per day, and a trip to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and the ascent
out of the canyon the following day.
- Walking is a wonderful low-impact exercise that provides significant cardiovascular benefits and can greatly help
with body weight management and control.

Bicycling:
- I typically rode approximately 3,200 miles per year when I was working, with approximately 250 hours on the bike.
- My primary biking partner and I enjoy doing long rides of 100 miles in a day, called a Century, and typically complete
about 9 of those per summer.
- Speed, peak performance, or distance aren't really the objective or goal for me; the primary objective is enjoyment and
staying healthy and fit.
